I was behind a van at a crossing where some road construction was going on. The van doors opened up and 2 teen passengers got out and started handing all the workers bottles of ice water. I counted the bottles handed out at 12, plus they left many more in a disposable cooler. You could tell the workers appreciated the act of kindness as they smiled and fist bumped the teens.

Saw a gentleman offer to buy 5 families summer memberships to Lima Aquatic Center. This was a FB post where pricing was being discussed. This guy , who I don't want to name per privacy concerns, said to DM him, if they wanted a membership. Very kind !

There was a gentleman with his dog stranded on St. Mary’s lake. His boat battery died. He flagged us down with a life jacket wave. It was great to help him out by giving him a jump. I hope if we ever need it someone helps us.

Incredible couple of young ladies, Becca and Alexis, formed Plates of Love, in Findlay, Oh. This is a non profit who buys, prepares and serves free meals to the community in their front yard. This year they have hosted at least 7 events and have served close to 500 meals to people in need. Great service and wonderful example of "kindness matters". These 2 are truly inspirational to me. ( They are hosting another event on July 4 )

I love listening to the morning DJ’s on WBCL 88.1 FM. I found out last week that Kim is moving to DC. I decided to send her a card telling her she will be missed and encouragement on her new chapter/job.

Spent my afternoon today on Jay's Coneys staff, slaying some coneys & bringing a smile to faces. From about 11 AM to 1 PM we handed out free coneys at the Neighborhood Relief Thrift Store. We probably served out over 100 hotdogs.

City road crew were replacing a gas line on our street. 90 degrees and these guys were monitoring traffic and running backhoes. I took them all a cooler full of ice and water. They were very appreciative and I am sure it hit the spot.

My husband wanted homemade strawberry pop tarts with Suters strawberries so I sent him to pick me some up. He decided our neighbors needed their own strawberries too- so he picked up a bucket for them also!

My son, Carter, is 11. He helped wash down tables, carried things outside, wiped down things that have been stored and needed a good cleaning, and made signs for a community share sale to “Take what you need, pay what you can.” He was skeptical about leaving the cash box outside unattended, using only an honor system, but he was so proud that no one had taken it that he was in his own bedroom looking for things to put outside to bless kids that come with their families. Kindness is contagious.
