The other day, I called to find out how my very good friend, John Battles (Doing-AOK founder) was doing following his recent knee surgery. I was complaining to him about wasting my time going to 3 different stores looking for a particular coffee creamer. And coming up empty on two different occasions. Tonight, when I got out of the shower. I saw I had a "missed person at my door" alert, on my Ring doorbell. I played it, and was greeted by my friends smiling face. He was holding a bottle of the creamer I had been seeking. Getting no response from my doorbell, he set it in front of my door, and hobbled his way back to his car. That's when I noticed something else besides his painful gate, he was in his socks. He had intended on calling me and having me meet him at the car! Getting no answer, he disregarded how his knee felt, and the fact that he had no shoes. And hobbled his way up my driveway and around my sidewalk to my front door. To deliver me his surprise! That my friends is a true act of kindness. John Battles leads by example! Thank you my friend, I'm doing AOK with a little Cafe Mocha!
